Chords, melodies: a look at harmony by numbers is my doctoral research project at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. I am a Berlin-based Canadian composer and violinist exploring ways of making music with rational or just intonation (JI) using acoustic and electronic sounds. My work aims to develop theoretical and artistic tools to help other musicians and listeners get closer to this material. I am currently composing, playing violin, Continuum Fingerboard, and Lumatone, writing articles, teaching, and coding.
